White Bird (2024)
This is the continuation of the book, Wonder, which became an inspiring movie of the same name. However, Julian, the boy who bullied Auggie, is the focus of this film. Julian’s grandmother (masterfully portrayed by Helen Mirren) visits him from Paris. He is having difficulty “fitting in” to his new school, and Sara decides to tell him the dramatic story of her youth in Nazi-occupied France. She speaks of courage, first love, mortal danger, and the single life-changing act of kindness.
